Future Ambitions

As I am only young, there is so much I want to achieve in my life, not only with regards to my career, but to achieve things that will make me a stronger, better person. I want to make the most of my life and the opportunities it throws my way.

In the near future I hope to be a part of several more projects where I get to perform and do what I love most. I would also like to work behind the scenes for some low budget film and TV projects (though I won't say no to any big budget work either).

I have now completed my first year at college studying for a HND in Creative Industries: Television at James Watt College. It has been a huge learning experience and I enjoyed every moment of it. There were only four in the class which had its positives and negatives. However, as the second year may not run at James Watt, I have been accepted to do my second year at Cardonald College. You can see some of my work from college on my Video page.

After completing my HND I am going to take some time out and travel with one of my closest friends. In August 2009 we set off for Namibia in Africa where we will work for four weeks in the Noah’s Ark animal Sanctuary. We then head to Australia for five weeks of fun in the sun, before travelling to Fiji. During our six weeks in Fiji we will gain Scuba Diving Qualifications, carry out important conservation work on endangered coral reefs and work closely with the locals in the small community where we will be staying. Our final destination is the US of A. We will spend five weeks moving from place to place around California. I am hoping to sweet talk my way onto a big Hollywood film set whilst in LA. We will spend one week and perhaps a fair bit of money in Las Vegas. New York will be our final destination, we will spend the week shopping, wining and dining, skating in central park, sipping cocktails in the best bars and buying an extra large suitcase to bring everything home in, including those extra little Christmas gifts we bought with our last dollar. Home in time for Christmas.

Acting is what I love first and foremost, however, if I am not acting I still love the buzz of being on set, whether it be film or TV. I am an imaginative and creative person and I want to use those skills in pursuing a career that I will look forward to waking up for in the morning. A 9-5 office job just isn’t for me. I want to meet new people, I want to tell stories in new and interesting ways, I want to provoke emotion, question people, have them question me, teach people, and I hope to do all this whether I am in front or behind the camera.

The industry in which I want to work is tough, yet an industry I love, and is loved by many people for many different reasons. This is what I want out of life, and with hard work and determination, I know I'll make it.
